North Stradbroke Island is one of the largest sand islands in the world, 37kilometres long and 11kilometres wide with kilometres of white sandy beaches fringing the islands eastern side. The calm waters of Moreton Bay lap against the shores of the
island's western fishing towns. With an incredible diversity of experiences to offer and beautiful spots to explore, North Stradbroke is a popular holiday location for families, couples and adventure-seekers alike.

The calm crystal clear bay water, where dolphins frolic, pelicans relax and seagulls fly, offers safe swimming, great snorkelling and good fishing and boating.  The public jetty is a great fishing spot for kids and is next to the boat ramps and swimming enclosure.

There are plenty of things to do on Straddie.

North Stradbroke's unspoilt beaches and headlands are perfect for swimming, surfing and fishing year round.

Whales, dolphins, turtles and manta rays can often be spotted from the spectacular North Gorge at the tip of the island. The island has been listed as one of the world s most ecologically important wetlands and has several freshwater lakes, waterways and lagoons. Link to informative website on Straddie

North Stradbroke Island has three main townships - Point Lookout, Amity Point and Dunwich. All townships are connected by bitumen roads, offer safe swimming spots and scenic walking areas.

The view to the island's southern tip Jumpinpin showcases Main Beach's 32km stretch of wide sand beaches and surf,
swimming and fishing.

The island is the ultimate paradise for the many
4WD enthusiasts who visit each year.

Surfing beaches at Amity East and Flinders Beach are only 3 minutes by car and Point Lookout is only 10 minutes away.

The old school house park has BBQ's, tennis court, children's play area and a mini basketball court.  There is also a skate board rink near the camping area.

Amity Point is a peaceful and pretty little spot on the bayside of the Island.  It is the ideal holiday for families, fishermen, boat owners and bush walkers in fact anyone looking for a relaxing stress free destination.
